I have had my Handler Edition for a short time, and I must say it is an excellent leash, but more importantly a great tool. My puppy is a 17 month Olde English Bulldog who is pretty good on a regular leash, but I am in NYC and keep him on a short leash (4ft) most of the time unless we are training.
He is a high tolerance non-reactive dog who wants to meet every person and dog he encounters. That approach doesnt work in this town due to highly reactive dogs and not every person likes dogs.
The leash provides excellent control, and the cam ball is excellent. When my dog gets crazy the leash goes from 5ft to 6 inches. He got that right away.
Feels great and looks well made. He is still a bit of a leash chewer but for some reason not as bad as with a normal nylon or leather leads.
I have had many leashes for this dog and my last dog. My last dog was a rescue who had her issues, this would have been a great tool to use with her.
If you are thinking of pulling the trigger, go ahead. It was worth every penny. In about a month I plan on ordering another Handler Edition, and maybe I will get a Standard Leash as well. Bottom line, money well spent.
I’ve put about 40 miles on this leash with my 80 lb dog and I’m genuinely impressed. The quality and craftsmanship are outstanding and it functions exactly the way I need it to. At first I thought I might prefer a different size ball for the adjustment, but after real use, the design makes perfect sense and works extremely well. It isn’t overcomplicated and it isn’t too simple. It’s just a very high quality, versatile leash that I truly enjoy using as both an active runner and a dog handler.
Perfect length, sturdy and buttery-smooth clips, and I am really loving the rubber ball on the handler edition - super easy for your hand to find and grab quickly, easy to hold if you want to walk with it in your hand, and just as easy to forget about if you just want to let it swing while the leash is clipped around your waist. So glad I heard about this before I bought another clunky leash from the store.
I am the happy new owner of the nicest leash system I have ever had. I am using the handler with a 34” slip extension and shorty handle. The versatility this setup over is outstanding! Just a move of the handle gives me three different levels of control for any situation. If you have a dog, walk said dog and have the means, this is a very, and maybe only, setup to consider. Thanks for a great lead!

I have struggled with training my Dober Girls due to some hand issues. I have “trigger finger” and my finger locks when my dogs pull on my leash during walks. Now I hold the “ball” and it prevents my finger from locking since I can’t squeeze the leash tight.
